Connecting the Green Power for Mobile Community to accelerate the deployment of green power solutions
GPM Community
The Green Power for Mobile (GPM) programme aims to facilitate collaboration within the mobile operator and vendor communities to accelerate the deployment of green power solutions. This will be achieved through a combination of interactive community events including: specialised GPM areas at the GSMA events in Macau and Barcelona, a GPM Operator Working Group, operator workshops and further assistance, and GPM Webinars to provide programme and industry updates.
GPM Operator Working Group
The objective of the GPM Operator Working Group is to consolidate industry insight and experience of green power to catalyse deployment across the industry. The Working Group will consist of more than 30 operators that have indicated a commitment to Green Power for Mobile and have allocated delegates for quarterly meetings. The Working Group will provide a forum to highlight operator initiatives, address industry challenges related to GPM, and collectively assess available products and solutions.

GPM Workshops and Further Assistance
The GPM programme offers on site workshops to introduce operators to the GPM programme and its assets, tools and offerings. The suggested workshop agenda includes:
- Detailed introduction to the GPM programme
- Key findings from GPM market research
- Walkthrough of GPM tools and assets
- Introduction to local suppliers
- Discussion and analysis of operator key barriers/concerns

GPM Webinars
The GPM programme will host online Webinars quarterly to provide updates on programme activities and on the deployment of green power solutions within the industry. Initially the Webinars will be targeted at the operator community, with the intention to accommodate the vendor community and other industry stakeholders at a later date.
The first GPM Webinar was held at the end of July and provided an update on the GPM programme and the key findings from our industry market research to the operator community.
