Become a Licensee
To use the service mark you will need to sign the licensing agreement and ensure that your proposed device meets the required compliance standards.
Compliance with the minimum device requirements can be achieved via two routes:
- Compliance testing via operator technical approval or,
- Compliance testing via licensee self-certification
When compliance is achieved, the licensee can then use the service mark under the terms and conditions of the Mobile Broadband service mark licensing agreement.
For PC manufacturers seeking guidance on the integration of Mobile Broadband technology into notebooks, the GSMA has produced a set of guidelines.
Any licensee will also be liable for an annual fee to cover costs around trademark registrations, marketing communications and management of the Service Mark. There is no commercial gain by the GSMA from the management of the Service Mark.
