The Mobile Asia Congress competition closed on October 1st , 2009. The winners will be announced on 18 November 2009 at Mobile Asia Congress in Hong Kong.

Competition Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can you provide examples of embedded mobile devices and services that would qualify as competitive entries?
A: We are looking for a variety of competitive entries, especially those that encourage new form factors: e.g. ultra-mobile devices with specific vertical industry applications, mobile eBook readers, embedded mobile gaming devices, small tablets with mapping applications and many others. Multiple competitive entries from a single company are welcome.
 
Q: Is it possible to submit entries for LTE-only or 2G/3G-only embedded mobile product/services?
A: Yes, entries can be submitted for modules, devices and end-to-end services with any type of mobile network connectivity, including 2G/3G-only, LTE-only or combined 2G/3G/LTE. Multiple competitive entries from a single company are welcome.
 
Q: Can companies submit competitive entries for products and services that use both embedded module interface and a usb dongle interface?
A: Yes, we welcome entries that use usb dongles to connect various consumer and business devices to mobile networks, creating a new end-to-end mobile service.
 
Q: Is it possible to submit joint proposals from OEMs, ODMs, MNOs and non-mobile industry companies?
A: Yes, GSMA is particularly encouraging partnerships to submit complete embedded mobile services for a variety of industries, such as consumer electronics, mHealth, automotive and smart home.

Q: Is there a limit to how many entries you can submit?
A: No, GSMA encourages as many entries as possible.

Q: Do you need to be a GSMA member to enter?
A: No these competitions are open to Non members of the GSMA.
