Steven Evans joins GSM Association as Chief Strategy Officer

31st October 2006 - London: The GSM Association, the global trade association for mobile phone networks, has announced the appointment of Steven Evans as its new Chief Strategy Officer, who will join on 1st March 2007.
Formerly CEO of BT Mobile and Director of Wireless Broadband at BT Evans has a twenty year track record in the global telecommunications industry. Previously Steven was CEO of Dolphin Communications, Deputy Managing Director of One2One (now T-Mobile UK), Deputy Chief Executive of Bouygues Telecom in France, and General Manager of Optus Mobile in Australia.
"Steve has an exceptional background that is steeped in mobile communications, on a global basis," said Rob Conway, Chief Executive of the GSM Association. "We are delighted to welcome him to the team, where his experience of leadership and strategy at the highest levels will be an asset to the organisation, our management team and our membership."
