To address key scientific questions regarding the potential adverse health effects of non-ionising radiation (NIR) emitted by the range of present and future technologies

Scope

Aligned with WHO agenda.

  • Dosimetry and exposition.
  • Human epidemiological and experimental exposure studies, including electro hypersensitive subgroups.
  • Cellular biology of non-ionizing radiation effects.
  • Risk management, risk stratification and risk communication.

Status

The first call for project outlines ended in February 2006. Subsequently full project proposals were requested and assessed. Projects are expected to begin in early 2007.
