GSMA: Publication of ACRBR Mobile Phone Epidemiology Review
GSMA commissioned the Australian Centre for Radiofrequency Bioeffects Research to conduct a review of existing epidemiological research on possible links between mobile phone [MP] use and brain tumours. The authors conclude:
'...Although there have been individual reports of associations between MP-use and tumours, this research is not consistent and on balance does not provide evidence of an association. There are reports of small associations between MP-use ipsilateral to the tumour for greater than 10 years, for both acoustic neuroma and glioma, but the present paper argues that these are especially prone to confounding by recall bias...'
GSMA: Report - Children’s Use of Mobile Phones - An International Comparison
To gain a better understanding of how children use their mobile phones across the world, the GSMA has collaborated with NTT DOCOMO on research comparing children’s use of mobile phones at different stages in their development in five countries - Japan, Korea, China, India and Mexico.
GSMA: Wireless Technologies added to The EMF Explained Site
The EMF Explained website now includes information on: 3G, LTE, WiMAX, Wi-Fi, Femtocells, Bluetooth and DECT. Each technology includes a brief summary, detailed information and graphics and useful reference links.
